Job Overview:
This lovely family is seeking a confident, proactive, flexible and professional daily residential nanny to support the mother in caring for their son (born December 2023). The role is a mix of shared care and sole charge, and the nanny must understand and respect professional boundaries. The position starts with a one-week handover in Paris before travelling to Los Angeles. The family travel extensively, spending summers (usually July to end of September) in Europe (Paris/South of France/Italy) and returning to Europe again for approximately one to two months in the winter. The mother is very involved, so there will be times when childcare support is lighter; during these periods, the nanny will be expected to complete nursery duties and help with household errands as needed. The family employ a Housekeeper. They have one small dog.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide shared care and sole charge care for their son in line with the family’s routines and expectations.
  • Plan ahead and organise age-appropriate activities and day-to-day schedules.
  • Prepare fresh food for the child.
  • Complete all nursery duties, including the child’s laundry and ironing.
  • Keep the nursery and play areas clean, tidy, and well organised.
  • Support with household errands and “muck in” where required when childcare duties are lighter.
  • Travel with the family as required across Europe and the USA.
Ideal Nanny:
  • Confident and experienced with toddlers/children of a similar age (born December 2023).
  • Proactive, organised, flexible, professional, and good-natured, with strong initiative.
  • Well travelled, able to plan ahead, and comfortable working both independently and alongside a very hands-on mother.
  • Able to maintain clear professional boundaries in a shared-care environment.
  • Loves travelling and is happy to spend significant time in both Europe and the USA (including extended summer and winter periods in Europe).
  • Holds a US and EU passport (family preference for a European nanny).
  • A second language, such as French, is advantageous but not essential.
  • A driver is not essential.
  • Comfortable working in a home with a small dog.
Perks of the Role:
  • Own bedroom and bathroom provided.
  • Overtime paid for evenings/additional hours when required.
  • Extensive travel to Europe and the USA as part of the role.
  • Housekeeper employed.
